JISTEK (Jurnal Ilmu Statistika dan Teknik) is a scholarly journal that upholds a peer-review process as part of its commitment to academic quality and integrity. This publication ethics statement outlines the ethical standards expected of all parties involved in the publishing process, including authors, the editor-in-chief, editorial board members, peer reviewers, and the publisher.
This policy is guided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors, as well as the current COPE Core Practices recognized globally.
JISTEK is committed to promoting honesty, objectivity, and scientific responsibility throughout the entire publication process—from manuscript submission to final publication—in order to ensure that each article published contributes meaningfully to the advancement of knowledge and society.
Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication

As the official publisher of JISTEK (Jurnal Ilmu Statistika dan Teknik), Pustaka Akademia takes full responsibility for overseeing every stage of the publication process with the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. We are fully committed to ensuring that all commercial activities—such as advertising, reprints, or sponsorships—have no influence whatsoever on editorial decisions.
Pustaka Akademia, together with the editorial board, also supports transparent communication with other journals or publishers when necessary, in order to uphold the quality, consistency, and ethics of the publishing process.
- Publication Decisions: The editor of JISTEK is solely responsible for deciding which manuscripts submitted to the journal are suitable for publication, based on academic quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
- Fair Evaluation: Manuscripts are evaluated solely on the basis of their scholarly content, without regard to the authors’ race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political orientation.
- Confidentiality: Editors and staff must maintain confidentiality concerning submitted manuscripts and may only share information with those involved in the review and publication process.
- Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Editors must avoid situations that could create a conflict of interest and must not use unpublished material for personal research without written permission from the author.
Reviewers
- Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Reviewers assist editors in making publication decisions and provide constructive feedback to help authors improve their work.
- Timeliness: Reviewers who cannot complete a review in time must inform the editor immediately to avoid unnecessary delays.
- Confidentiality: Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential and not shared without authorization.
- Objectivity and Professionalism: Reviews must be fair, professional, and free of personal bias. Comments should be constructive and clear.
- Acknowledgment of Sources: Reviewers must identify missing citations and alert the editor of any similarity or overlap with other works.
- Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Reviewers must not use privileged information for personal gain and must decline to review if any conflicts exist.
Authors
- Reporting Standards: Authors must present accurate research results with honest analysis and sufficient detail for replication.
