JUPENDIK (Jurnal Pendidikan dan Inovasi) is a scholarly journal that upholds a peer-review process as part of its commitment to academic quality and integrity. This publication ethics statement outlines the ethical standards expected of all parties involved in the publishing process, including authors, the editor-in-chief, editorial board members, peer reviewers, and the publisher.
This policy is guided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors, as well as the current COPE Core Practices recognized globally.
JUPENDIK is committed to promoting honesty, objectivity, and scientific responsibility throughout the entire publication process—from manuscript submission to final publication—to ensure that each article contributes meaningfully to the advancement of knowledge and society.
Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication
The publication of articles in a peer-reviewed journal such as JUPENDIK (Jurnal Pendidikan dan Inovasi) serves as a fundamental pillar in the development of a credible, structured, and widely respected body of knowledge. Publisher and Editor
As the official publisher of JUPENDIK (Jurnal Pendidikan dan Inovasi), Pustaka Akademia takes full responsibility for overseeing every stage of the publication process with integrity and professionalism. All commercial activities—such as advertising, reprints, or sponsorships—have no influence on editorial decisions.
Pustaka Akademia and the editorial board maintain transparent communication with other journals and publishers to ensure the quality, consistency, and ethical integrity of the publication process.
- Publication Decisions – The editor is solely responsible for deciding which manuscripts are suitable for publication, based on academic quality, originality, relevance, and contribution to the field.
- Fair Evaluation – Manuscripts are evaluated solely on scholarly content without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, or ideology.
- Confidentiality – All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents and shared only with those directly involved in the review process.
- Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest – Unpublished materials in a submission must not be used in an editor’s own research without written consent from the author. Editors must avoid conflicts of interest and act impartially.
Reviewers
- Contribution to Editorial Decisions – Reviewers assist the editor in making publication decisions and provide constructive feedback to authors for improvement.
- Timeliness – Reviewers should respond promptly to invitations and notify the editor if unable to complete the review on time.
- Confidentiality – All manuscripts must be treated as confidential and not shared or discussed with others without authorization.
- Objectivity and Professionalism – Reviews should be conducted fairly and professionally, focusing on academic merit rather than personal bias.
- Acknowledgment of Sources – Reviewers must ensure all cited works are properly referenced and report any overlap or plagiarism detected.
- Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest – Reviewers must decline to review if there are potential conflicts of interest, whether financial, institutional, or personal.
Authors
- Reporting Standards – Authors must present accurate and honest accounts of their research, providing sufficient detail for replication and verification.
- Data Access and Retention – Authors should retain and, if requested, provide access to raw data supporting their research findings.
- Originality and Plagiarism – Manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism, including self-plagiarism.
- Multiple or Redundant Submissions – Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.
- Acknowledgment of Sources – Proper credit must be given to all references and contributors influencing the research.
- Authorship Criteria – Authorship should include only those who made significant contributions to the study. Others should be acknowledged as contributors.
- Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest – Authors must disclose all financial or personal relationships that could affect their work’s integrity.
- Corrections and Retractions – Authors must promptly report significant errors and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article if necessary.
